Confession: I love blue car interiors, there's a strange appeal and in the right car they're gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of Lamborghinis but they sure know how to pick a nice shade of blue for seats.

That one is nice!
When done correctly it looks nice. When done poorly it looks terrible...

I agree. Maybe that's why I think it's so special.

i loved it in red and it is great in blue.

Thank you for reminding me what started it all. That Aston is gorgeous! Want. Want. Want.
The Pagani is a bit bright for my taste but you gotta respect the craftsmanship. Looks like a wonderful place to be.

Oldsmobile Aurora. I had a '95 that was this color interior with metallic sea foam exterior. Owned it for a week. Miss the shit outta it.

Blue. Like my boy.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 00:26 |

While my interior is blue, I'd say only about 25% of people who get into my car realize it!

I'm terrified to ask, but what happened to it?

This is the interior color of my mom's Pilot. It looks pretty nice, and breaks up the monotony of the silver exterior. We would have done burgundy exterior and tan, but this was a CPO car and we got a steal on it.

I couldn't find the better-looking 1990 version, but I found an '89 (I think):

makes sense! A good blue interior takes skill
![]() 05/16/2014 at 00:43 |

Looks like an Aurora.

Why, mine of course!
Sorry about the mess, the facetiousness, and the appalling pictures:

I agree. The Aston just looks so classy and sumptuous. Beautiful color as well.

The B5 Audi A4 came with an optional Royal Blue interior. It looked best paired with cream-colored seats/inserts, burled wood trim, and a Santorin Blue Pearl exterior. Yes, I'm very jealous of my roommate's B5 2.8 V6!
![]() 05/16/2014 at 06:20 |

Mine. The PO didn't even know that it was blue i'm pretty sure.

That is so nice and understated. The blue and the aluminum work perfectly. That shifter too!
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:05 |

Works for the car for sure. I'm not even a huge fan of Vettes, but I gotta to admite that's pretty.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:06 |

Nice! And the gauges to go with it.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:07 |

The plaid is so awesome!
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:08 |

I would have never guessed that you could get blue in a Pilot, and how handsome it looks inside, wow. I'm impressed.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:09 |

The gauges are my favourite bit. Well, either that, or the random leaf patterns on the seats... Nineties Peugeot interiors are something of an acquired taste.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:09 |
|
On Recaros too. I bet they hug you so nicely. Looks great!
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:10 |

I probably couldn't tell if you didn't tell me, haha. Looks so nice. Dark wood+blue is spot on.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:11 |

I forgot about this! I think I almost prefer the blue to the red interior in the S2k.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:12 |
|
That's almost indigo on my screen. Looks nuts, in a good way. Shifter reminds me of Spyker.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:14 |

I was going to say that I thought the leaves were a little out of character for Peugeot, but I've never really rode or even sat in one. I still think it's pretty cool!
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:25 |
|
I have a love-hate relationship with the shift knob. In the winter its freezing, and in the summer it will actually make your skin blister if you hold into it too long.
But it looks soooooooo good...
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:26 |
|
If you don't mind my asking, what's your idea of Peugeot's character? I'm kind of curious about the perspective of someone who didn't largely grow up in the back of them.
Anyway, back in the nineties/early oughts, a lot of Peugeot's interiors had something similar:
They really liked their whacked out patterns.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:41 |
|
All the above, haha. Really geometric funky patterns. Leaves seemed different than those.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:42 |
|
Doesn't matter; style points!
Everything about that shifter is perfect.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 12:59 |

Very comfy. Have held up well too over the 10 years.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 14:03 |

Very nice!

I had no idea that the GTO came with optional blue seats, I kind of want one more now.

Indeed. The Vantage picture makes me miss my DBS.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:02 |

What color combo did you have?
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:14 |
|
Blue seats, blue gauges, blue leather on the doors and rear side panels, blue suede that wraps around the bottom of the dash to the doors, blue stitching on the steering wheel, shifter and boot... Oh, and blue on the edges of the floormats. I wanted a blue on blue the most when I was shopping.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:21 |
|
That's a lot of blue. Did you end up getting one in blue/blue?
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:26 |
|
Black on black.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:28 |

Very classy!!
Must have been an awesome car.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:36 |
|
It definitely was. I absolutely loved the two years I owned it.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 15:55 |
|
Same, Haha. I only noticed the same day after I bought the car. It's a great color, it really pops on the dashboard on the left side of the picture.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 17:30 |
|
That little swatch really shows the color at its newest. I wonder if a hard-core detail would bring out more blue in the seats. Don't get me wrong, your interior is already in great condition.
![]() 05/16/2014 at 19:15 |
|
Yeah, since that interior hasn't been faded in that bit. I've done a super hard core detail on it already. This picture was the day that I bought the car.
![]() 05/17/2014 at 01:22 |
|
I think that's actually a managable amount of blue, because you have a lot of more traditional black to break it all up. It doesn't have a blue dash, for example, like a lot of these other cars.
I ended up with a yellow GTO. What can I say, I was a sucker for the price and miles that the yellow ones were going for. And color-matched yellow face gauges are still cool.
![]() 05/17/2014 at 09:23 |
|
Oh, I know it's manageable, The picture does it justice, I meant your list, haha. When I younger, all I wanted was the GTO, still kind of want one, enjoy her. :)

2000-2002 E46M3 Laguna Seca Blue interior. Bonus negative points for the 1 or 2 that somehow made it into the US with Phoenix Yellow exteriors.... Light blue and babyshit green is not a great combo....

Panther time.
I couldn't find a good shot of a blue dash, but here's my high mileage 85 vic. It's darker/bluer in person. The grand marquis of the era are arguably nicer.

The interior of my old 1972 BMW Bavaria. The blue and black was original. The wood on the doors was modeled after 3.0S/3.0Si pieces, but hand-made in Birdseye maple. The veneer strip on the dashboard - part of the original design - was made to match, also from Birdseye.

I was going to post a GTO pic here... if Cosmos Purple hadn't been an option in '04, I would have purchased a blue/blue GTO.
